Any good tricks to using infrared LED's?

I'm designing a circuit with a set of 6 IR LED's that will be blinking. Currently, they are all hooked up in parallel. The nominal voltage suggested is 1.2, which is what I am running. However, it doesn't say anything about nominal current, and I'm running maybe 30 mA. I don't have any IR detectors, and mostly I want the LED's to emit as much IR light as possible. I don't know if they're even emitting any light, so my question is can they be hooked up and run just like regular LED's (except with significantly less voltage) and emit IR light, or is there a special way to hook them up?

How to stop 4 month old puppy from peeing in crate? & problems with housebreaking?

We have had some time trying to get our new puppy potty trained as well. He has gotten 99% better. The things that I started doing is watching when he ate, drank, played or got up from a nap. I would then take him out to potty. As soon as he would squat I would start praising him...saying good boy and when he finished I would give him a treat. As far as him using the potty after it's bed time. about an hour before we go to bed, we put his food and water up that way he can't eat or drink anything an hour before bed. Then right before we go to bed we take him out to potty before we go. He does wake us up during the night/morning hours to potty. At first I tried him and rubbing his noise in it or telling him bad boy if he peed where he is not suppose to, but that only made it worse. I started to ignore it and not say a word to him or do anything to him and just clean it up, and then is when the accidents got alot better. I'm not saying he is 100% better, cause he still has an accident every once in a while, but very rarely. Confine him into a smaller area wher eyou can watch him, that way if you see him start sniffing alot he's gotta potty. I hope this helps you...Good Luck!!

If you can get a doctor to give you a letter that says that you have a medical condition that wearing a seatbelt would make worse or cause a problem if you had an accident, then you could produce it to an officer that stops you. The most common one is a woman in an advanced stage of pregnancy. Claustrophobia, great discomfort, or something like that are *not* allowable exceptions. Not many doctors will provide those letters because that would put them in a bad legal position if you got into an accident and it was proven that a seatbelt might have kept you from getting so seriously hurt. I have two large dogs and we're pet sitting for our friend's dog who is a medium size border collie?

Our dogs are lab/dalmatian and a german shepherd/coonhound mix. We took our friend's dog over to our house so we could introduce him to our dogs on their turf (they're all neutered males) Well our dogs are doing really good. We thought they would be the ones to snap and bark at the other dog but it turns out the other dog is the one who is snapping at ours. Things are going ok so far...I mean every so often Gump will snap at Buddy and Jake but other than that they're doing really well. I guess my question is ....is the snapping every so often normal? I am in college, 21, and at home for break. My parents aren't particularly fond of my boyfriend so when I go see him I say I'm meeting up other friends. After a while we turn around and leave and as we're turning around we see the car that we parked behind now has its lights on and is coming behind us. The lady pulls down her window and flashes a light at us. So I pull over and pull down my window. And she asks why we are driving around the neighborhood. Then she says "Don't drive away from me. you're talking to a police officer!" Then she asks my age and whether I live with my parents. I say 21 and I'm here on break. Then she asks my address and my parents names. She appears to check on some list and says okay that street is just up ahead. But she pointed in the direction of the dead end I had just come out. So I said that way? And then she corrected herself and said stop driving around the neighborhood! And then I dropped my boyfriend back at his car and went home. I was following all traffic laws. I wasn't doing anything illegal. Did she have the right to do that? She didn't show me a badge or get out of her car. She talked to me from her car. I felt really upset and somewhat hared. If she is neighborhood watch, and a police officer, is she allowed to pull me over in an unmarked car?? If so, why? And if not, who can I complaint to!? Dream Interpretation - Tortoise/Turtle?

Any dream interpreters out there? I had a really odd one last night. A large tortoise would run and climb a tree really fast - get half way up and fall backwards landing on it's back and cracking it's shell. After it's second run and subsequent fall it apparently cracked its shell badly and I had the impression that it was fatally wounded. That's where the dream ended...with the tortoise on it's back. The tree that it was runing up was like a double tree - or two identical trees growing next to each other with very scaly bark. It was a big land tortoise, but had claws like a smaller turtle, I remember them scratching against the bark. Also - this is the best. It had a bumper sticker on its back that read "try me a hooters" - honestly, like you could get turtle at hooters or something. I couldn't possibly make this stuff up. The overall feeling was sad - I wanted to stop the turtle after it's first run but it was too big to stop.

Pasta w/garlic & oil Lacking Flavor. Please Help.?

I made Rigatoni with pure olive oil ( the one for dressings, bread & marinating) loads of garlic but not whole fresh garlic. I used the minced garlic in the jar because I once used fresh garlic and I couldn't get the smell off of my fingers for weeks, I tried everything! I put a pinch of red pepper flakes, salt & pepper & added some fresh broccoli. I have it now in the crockpot to keep it warm because it is for a pot luck today at work. I tasted it and all I taste is olive oil! I am going to run to the store on my lunch to buy something to add some flavor too it, what could I get? Italian seasoning or the zesty italian (good seasons) dressing mix, dried basil or parsley? I cant be anything fresh because I am not going to a grocery store I am going to Target. I did bring some of the water that I boiled the pasta in with me to work, I read it somewhere that I should. I want it to be a little zingy or zesty. I want people to wonder what I put in it. Hi everyone. First of all, I should let you all know that I am Pacific-Islander with a darker complexion. For the past few years I've been using a moisturizer called Cetaphil and it definitely works for my dry skin/ache problems however I've recently noticed that its caused the applied areas of my face to be noticable lighter than the unapplied areas. My family is very quiet naturally, so I am not so used to talking in large groups of people. However in one on one situations I am fairly good. Need help identifying cause of symptoms and a cure: dog is shaking, burrowing, stiff/sore, uncomfortable.?

My dog is shaking and shivering, and she is burrowing under the blankets to cover her face. She has taken up the habit of squeezing into small dark spaces. She is also having trouble jumping up onto things such as the sofa. She is a normally healthy happy Shih Tzu, about 6 years old. She is normally not this lethargic or uncomfortable, which concerns me. She has had back problems in the past, but that sometimes comes with the breed. She has had these symptoms before, and we had her inspected by a vet. He gave us a homeopathic remedy/supplement and her symptoms disappeared. Now that they are back, we don't remember what the remedy was. All I remember is that it was a yellow-y powder in a gold zip-lock pouch, I think it was by Solid Gold, and the powder smelled really nasty. I live next to a long large hill which I drive up with a truck and camper. When I use 87 I can't get past 45-47mph, when I use high octane I can hit 53 no problem and get better mileage. They say it doesn't buy you anything unless tuned for it, but I proved that wrong. Also I had a cheater pipe(catalic converter replaced with straight pipe) and gained at least another 5hp and was able to use Mexican gas without problem. Before that Mex gas would make it ping and hesitate(where there is no gas stations in Mex you buy it from people on the side of the road and you don't know what youre getting). I've been on Adderall for almost 2 months. The regular kind no the XR. The first month I started with 10 mgs in am and 5 mgs in afternoon. I'm now on 12 mgs in am 7 mgs in the afternoon. When i was 23 weeks and went to the doctors office they had a hard time finding my babys heart beat for the fact he would not hold still.Thats most likely all it is,probably just cant feel it to good yet.Some women dont start showing till they are a little over 5 some not untill they are 7.I've seen some girls who could p for just chubby before and they were really far along.Just give it time and your kiddo will start flipping and you will feel it better,and keep you up at night as i should mention!:).Being only almost 20 weeks i wouldnt waste my money on a doppler machine yet.The only kind that you would be able to hear your baby is with the expencive 600 and some dollar ones,all the others you wont be able to hear the heartbeat with yet.

1999 Dodge Durango won't start?

I had an 2001 Dodge Durango with the 5.9. I had a similar problem that stumped me, I thought it was fuel or the alternator, the only way I could drive it was to jump start it and take the cables off of it with it in drive and go right then or it would die, at a stop I had to put it in neutral and keep it reved or it would die. It ended up being just the battery, simple and easy. I had taken the alternator off and had it tested and everything, it was very weird. My advice would be take out the battery and go have it tested, it is usually free at most part stores. Hope this helps you.

I practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and one day in cl my partner went for a double leg and I fell kinda awkward on my right knee. I fell right on the right side of my knee and as soon as I fell a few seconds later I felt a sharp pain on the knee. I've been wearing a knee sleeve and ice it occasionally and that's about it. Also when I put my hand on my knee and bend it, its feels like its crunching and like its rubbing up against something. I stopped training for about a week to see if it healed up, but then it started hurting and swelling up as soon as I started training the next week. Should I waste money going to a doctor so he can tell me "just ice it and take some anti inflammatory" or could it be something serious?

Hi, I have recently purchased a fuji finepix s6500fd camera, and after looking through the viewfinder (not the lcd one)have trouble viewing things at a distance, is there a gadget on the market that enlarges the image you see, when I was looking at an image of a static plane at an air show with someone elses camera, (an expensive slr), the plane looked as though it was enlarged, where as in my camera it looked as though it was further away than it actualy was,I know people might say thats the difference in the price of cameras, this is probably true,but is there a magnifier or something to attach to the viewfinder?if not- why not? or is there a device to attach to the lcd viewer to avoid sunlight on the screen?not that this is much of a problem this year, as a waterproof cover would be more practical ---- thanks in advance

Exercise/Work out advice?

1st of all, im a skinny guy. not very skinny, just scrawny. anywho, i need help on this stuff. for example, on sunday i did push-ups. i did them (not fast or slow, just normal pace) until i could lift myself up no more. i stopped at around the 30s. i took a break and did another set. the next day my chest & triceps got sore(means i did it correctly). the next day i did ab exercises. i woke up the next day with sore abs. so far getting sore muscles means i did a good workout, but im confused. do i have to wait until my muscles are not sore anymore or is it ok to do the same workout the day after? im worried that if i do the same workouts while those muscles are sore, i wont get results. right now my abs show. just not much because i have to do this often. what i want to know is when i work out a certain part (example arms), how long do i wait till i work arms again? and the same for abs, legs, shoulder, back, etc. i dont want to waste money on the gym. i want to do this myself.

Trying to prevent BV from returning?

About two weeks ago i went to the Gynocologist because i thought i had some kind of bacterial infection...which i did. She took a sample of the discharge and came back and told me it WAS INDEED a bacterial infection. She never told me which type it was, but im pretty sure it was BV, being that i had every symptom of it. She prescribed me Flagyl (dont know how to spell) twice a day for 7 days. It went away, but now im just worried that its gonna come back..I stopped using fabrics softners with my clothes because washing underwear in it can make it come back..i also try not to eat as much sugar. Im only fifteen, so its not like i can just go change all the food in my house into healthy foods. But i do try to be as healthy as i can be. can yogurt help in preventing my BV from coming back? Bacterial infections are caused when the bad bacteria is growing more than te good bacteria..right? So, would eating yogurt help with the bacteria count? I bought 5 things of yoplait light yougurt. i got strawberry, strawberry banana, and peach. they arent sugar free, becase i didnt see any sugar free yougurt at the store. ive already bought them, so im gonna eat the yougurts....will it work??? also, i cant buy more yogurt everytime i run out, so there might be a few days that ill have to go without it..would tht be ok? or do i have to keep a continuous amount of the yogurt's good bacteria in my system before it will even take effect in helping preventing it?

What are these itchy red bumps?

So originally this started out with my itching and at the time that's all I thought it was. Then bumps started to appear on them and it spread from my right side to my left side and now it seems to have gone even further. After a few days I noticed a little red bumpy patch on my right rib. Nothing too crazy, just a few itchy red bumps. Then I noticed a few more on my chest, then 2 or 3 sporadically on my stomach and now they're on almost every part of my body with no real pattern or consistency to them. I have a couple on my back in places I can't even reach, a couple on my thighs, and a patch of about 4 or 5 on my left hip. I even have them on my face, jaw line and even one on my right ear! They range in size from a large mosquito bite on my legs, to small pimple like bumps on my chest and rib. They also very in how far apart each bump is either being one solitary bump, or a couple of them right on top of one another to a close knit patch that is about two inches in diameter. I share everything with my boyfriend and none of this seems to be effecting him aside from my being itchy and miserable. I've been using Cortizone and I haven't changed anything as far as soaps, detergents, perfumes or clothing materials are concerned. I understand allergies can develop over time whether or not those things have been changed, but I see no rhyme or reason to my itchy red bumps. I just want to know if this is something that I can take care of at home or if I need medication for it because I'm losing my mind with all this itching.

Fuji Finepix A345 file size is too large. Can it be set to fix this?

If I take a picture with the quality set at 3:2, the average file size is almost 900 KB. If I then open the picture with Microsoft paint and then re-save it the file size goes to 180 KB. There appears to be no difference between the two pictures other than the file size. Is there a way to set the camera to do this so I don't have to convert all the pictures manually ? (and still maintain picture quality)

Is yellow stool sign of labor at 38 weeks?

I am 38 weeks pregnant and last night i had a very loose yellow stool...not sure if that is a sign of going into labor. On top of that I have menstrual cramps feels like my period is going to start any day now. Consistent back back and knees hurting. I just feel all around queasy and blah...is any of this a sign of possibly going into labor the next few hours or days? Also last thursday I was 1cm dilated. Any ideas would help. thank you!
