Half filipino visiting Russia?

Ok, so I'm currently learning how to speak Russian and even plan on visiting either Russia or Ukraine at some point in my life (I live in the US). My question is what is the majority opinion over there on asians/pacific islanders or people with light but mildly dark skin? I'm actually part Ukrainian, but I'm also half filipino and I've heard a few rumors about rudeness towards foreigners. I don't actually look very filipino, but I definately don't look full Ukrainian as it's obvious I'm mixed. Just trying to get some answers to be on the safe side for my visit.
