Will a misdemeanor (public intoxication charge) disqualify me from being a Radiology Technologist?
Last year 2007 in feb i was arrested for public intoxication, i plead guilty and paid a $500.00 fine(i was 20 years of age). Its a cl c misdemeanor in the state of tx. But i really should have bin charged with a dwi. I was driving on the highway and fell asleep and scd the side of another car, we pulled off the highway to a Denny's and called the police. When the police arrived i admitted to being drunk and did not tell a lie. And the cop cut me some slack and only gave me a public intoxication because i cooperated well and it was not a major accident, just a scrap. I know i need to contact the AR RT to be sure, but id like to know if there is any one out there who has a similar situation and was still eligible to be Radiology Technologist. I will be about 24 or 25 when i complete the Radiology program. Please write reply! Thank you!
