I and my wife are recently married. We are not able to have a proper ual relationship?

We are unable to have properly because it seems she has a very small opening and it becomes a painful process for both of us to do . It seems that her hymen is still intact and when I enter into her, it becomes too tight for me-giving both of us only pain. But we can bring each other to by other means though(orally and by using hand)...But we are a bit worried since this problem does not seem to be resolving even after several tries....I tried getting her to a gynecologist, but she is hesitant....Any advice???
