Someone please tell what is wrong with my car alarm?

I just got it installed today and I brought the viper security system and keyless entry. I also brought the proximity with it, so that is someone was messing with it for more than like 15 seconds it would chirp at them... but I've been trying it and it wont work? Am I doing something? or what's up. I even try opening my car and the alarm wont go off
