I have a 2001 Silver ado/ 6.0 engine,why does it sound like solid lifters,only53000miles and well maintained?

I was wondering if anyone else has this same problem,and what was the final outcome?I have fought GM and they say it is normal,not to worryabout it,that came from three local Chevrolet dealerships.I find it hard to beleive that it is normal. I have not lost compression, or power as of yet!
