Intricate question on medications....? If fluvoxamine and clomipramine are interactive of a negative manor...?

Pharmacists have computer programs that help them figure out complex drug interactions, so they would often have even better information that doctors (Although a psychiatrist deals with anxiety and mood disorders all the time, and would know all that stuff by heart). Ask for professional advice - this stuff is pretty complicated, involving liver enzymes and the like. To complicate matters, some people are lacking some of these liver enzymes, (for example, about 10% of white people lack the cyp450 2d6 liver enzyme, that metabolizes like half of psychiatric drugs) and have to metabolize drugs via alternate pathways. Psychiatrists are aware of that problem, too.
