Guy to afraid to ask me out?

So im in 6th grade and this guy has been flirting with me. I kind of like. He will take my pencil and then i will smile at him and he says he found it and hands it back to me : ) sometimes i beleive it is gone... Well my friend says he likes me. So today his friend S (not his real name) says ali come here the guy i like siting next next to S. So he tells me something really stupid but i noticed the guy i like was gigling . So i walk away and i hear S tell him to ask her out. He is in half of my cles but he never asked me out. I think he's to afraid and i wanna let him do it not me... I'm kinda excited though cause my bff jojo liked him and told him that but he said no! Instead he would rather have me and he doesnt even know if i like him. But my bff jojo always got the bfs and this has never happened! But how can i drop hints that he can ask me out and that i'll say yes?
